Dr. Jonathan F. Lenahan aka Star Hawk is a second-generation Acupuncturist and Practitioner of Chinese Medicine. In 2017, combining his background in Acupuncture and Energy Medicine Jonathan created his healing practice, AcuShaman. From 2015 to 2019, Jonathan worked as an Ayurvedic Healing Arts Practitioner at the Chopra Center where he refined his skills as a master bodyworker and energy practitioner. Dr. Lenahan also teaches yoga, meditation, and qi gong classes on a weekly basis throughout San Diego. During the summers of 2008 to 2011, he spent prolonged periods of time in the Pine Barren Wilderness where he learned how to live with the earth by preparing edible and medicinal plants and was initiated into the Native American way of life and shamanism. Jonathan also utilizes Nutritional Response Testing (NRT) for customized nutritional and herbal programs. Underlying his practice of healing arts is the wisdom that self-knowledge, health, and well-being are intimately connected with the Human Heart, Earth, and Spirit.

90 min - $150. A truly holistic approach to medicine is treating each individual as a whole and not just treating the symptom or disease process. Yes, we can treat your headache or any other symptom you may have but we also want to look at any internal (biochemical/nutrient) deficiencies or external environmental toxins and any emotional/mental behaviors and beliefs that may be blocking you from getting well and returning to an optimal state of health and wellbeing. Dr. Lenahan will listen to when your health challenge began, what you've tried and what has not worked, walk with you through your daily routine from waking up to going to bed to discover any underlying habits that may be contributing to your symptoms. Perform Pulse & Tongue diagnosis to discover what your underlying imbalance is according to Chinese Medicine.
ACUSHAMAN'S INTUITIVE HEALING EXPERIENCE
60 min - $125. Work with Dr. J Star Hawk to create a transformational healing experience for yourself! This intuitive healing can include acupuncture, pranic & theta healing, visionary cranial sacral, shamanic sound healing, breathwork, chakra balancing, meditation & transformational coaching!
NUTRITIONAL RESPONSE TESTING
60 min - $125. Nutritional Response Testing (NRT) is similar to the practices of applied kinesiology or neuromuscular testing. It is a technique based upon listening to the bodies innate intelligence by measuring the strength of the nervous system's response to palpation and any object that is placed upon the body. This method allows an experienced practitioner to determine whether there is a neurologic "lock" (a "yes") within the nervous system or a weakness (a "no"). First, the patient's body is scanned by palpating points on the body that relate to either the musculoskeletal system, a gland or the internal organs. Once a weakness in the patient's body is determined, a homeopathic stressor kit that contains vials for food sensitivities, heavy metals, chemicals, viruses, fungal/mold, bacteria and parasites will be used to discover what is causing the dysfunction in that particular part of the body. After the stressors have been identified, nutritional supplements & herbal medicines will be prescribed as well as any dietary recommendations.
